Introduction: SoniK is a very experienced mapper and has a broad imagination and creative ideas for his maps and will continue mapping for Kingpin. Interview: 1) Please Introduce yourself I'm a mapper known as Sonik, and I'm from Ontario, Canada. 2) When did you start mapping and what other games have
you mapped for? I started mapping the day Kingpin came out. I've. tried mapping for Soldier of Fortune, No One Lives Forever, and Quake 3, but never anything serious. 3) Why mostly Kingpin over Quake3? Well two reasons, first, I have a bunch of projects on the go for Kingpin that I want release someday. Second, I'm still not too familiar with Q3 mapping. Also, I finally have some confidence with Kingpin mapping, so I'm planning to stay around Kingpin for a while yet. 4) What Kingpin game mode do you enjoy mapping for the
best? Right now I'm really liking the single player mapping, I've sorta put off working on my DM maps for now. With single player you can be so much more imaginative and creative, that's exactly why I like it. 5) Tell us about your current project, "House of
Death 2" It picks up right where you were left, the infamous padded room. That's about all I really know at the moment :P . But I've thought about it, and of course there's going to be a courageous escape from the asylum. After that the final escape on a boat or plane. But that gets messed up and you end up on an island. I'll be planning for it more indepth once I finish dEkayd. 6) Why did you decide to stop working on "Citadel
Zero"? The r_speeds, I feel so dumb about it because i should of known that a big tower in an open area would of slaughtered the frame rate. But, I started a completely new Citadel Zero, which I have some screenies of at my website. I like the new one because it's a king of the castle type battle.
9) What do you like to do besides mapping? Playing video games, lately Max Payne. Trying to play Kingpin
online, but unsuccesful due to 24000 bps 10) Thanks for your time. Do you have any last words? nothing really..just thank you. :) Contacts: Email sonik90@yahoo.com or visit his webpage: http://www.geocities.com/sonikmapper Comments? Suggestions? email me at zirco@gamebox.net.
